		<description>I agree that the state of women&#039;s MMA is pretty dire.  The only visibility it&#039;s gotten so far has been as a promotional vehicle for Gina Carano.  This did provide visibility for FeMMA that it ordinarily wouldn&#039;t have if Carano wasn&#039;t in the sport.  And sadly, I have it on good authority that Gina is pretty much retired, Strikeforce or no Strikeforce.  She&#039;s moving on to an entertainment career.  Can&#039;t say i blame her.  Why risk your life for peanuts?  She is way underpaid when considering the butts she puts in the seats at live events and ratings she generates.  The underpayment is a clear message from the promoters that the women are only there to be exploited and as a  novelty on their cards.  No one is taking female fighters seriously.</description>
